And some organizations will not even allow you to install SQL Server, or MySQL on your local pc. However, it seems like most large organizations won't grant database access to anyone but they usually have weekly and monthly extracts sitting on shared drives.
In this tutorial we will utilize the RSQLITE package and the power of SQLITE DB to turn these extracts into a local database that requires no installation because SQLLITE is essentially a flat file.
For this scenario we will be working for California Power and Light and we have the following extracts:
